{outfit post - something blue}

 {zara blue scarf, h&m ivory sweater (also seen here), zara leather skirt, hue tights, elizabeth and james margo bootiesmichael kors gold watchfree people ring, essie 'something borrowed & blue' nail polish}

i'm still not sold on this spring's color blocking trend. i love the look on others, but when i incorporate brights into an outfit i tend to pair them with something more muted and neutral. which is exactly what i did with two of my new zara purchases: a bright blue scarf and tan leather skirt. the cognac skirt is one of my favorite purchases of late. aside from being leather and the perfect color, it also has a cute paperbag waist, pockets and is crazy comfortable. what more could you ask for?

ps - if you prefer, you can stay in touch with a lovely escape via facebook or twitter as well!

  1. leather always scares me - i don't know, flashbacks to the middle school old navy pleather days perhaps? but your leather skirt is so sophisticated - wish we had a zara in this town!

  6. So so so so so pretty! I just love everything about this outfit, especially how the blue scarf just pops next to the less dramatic colors. And that skirt is fabulous! I seriously love it all!
